Chicago’s 2025 Palmer Award Winner: Jen Powers

Every season, there’s a member who reminds us why this club exists. Not through scores or stats, but through presence. This year, that member is Jen Powers.

Jen is the recipient of our 2025 Palmer Award in the Chicago Chapter, an honor given to the person who most embodies NewClub’s core values, voted by fellow members. The Palmer Award celebrates exactly what it means to be a member of NewClub and our vision itself… a genuine love of the game, a spirit of inclusion, and a commitment to building community.

From her very first season with NewClub, Jen made an impression. Not just because she played a lot of golf (which she did), but because she played it the right way. With heart. With humility. And with an energy that made people feel like they belonged. Ask anyone who’s shared a tee time with her, they’ll tell you Jen made them feel like part of the club.

At NewClub, we believe golf is more than a game, it’s about connection. Jen reminds all of us that the soul of a great club is found in the people who care most about others.
